Do spirits tend to haunt places near a cemetary?

I live right next to a cemetary..like literally it is my apt complexes backyard and lately me and my roommates have been hearing/experiencing some very unexplainable things. I'm not sure if it's just us or if the other apartments around are experiencing it as well. I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that we are almost surrounded by a cemetary.
