How to dance in the wedding? as a guest?

Alrights I went to a wedding yesturday and I didn't go up to dance or anything cause I didn't know how to. So I was wonder what I'm going to do if I were to go to the middle ballroom area? Cause I never danced before >> My cousins all went up and I was the only one sitting down >< THanks.
