Bicycle rear brake problems?

Hey guys, I would like to begin this by stating that I don't know bicycle terms very well, so if I'm using the wrong terms, please bare with me. Okay so I have a crappy mongoose mountain bike. Me and my friends found a trail to go riding at. The trail has alot of twists and turns, and most of the path is covered with pine-straw, which brings along problems for me. Because I didn't have back brakes, I couldn't take sharp turns very fast. I was having to use front brakes, which was very dificult because on pine-straw, the front wheel doesn't even have to lock up to lose traction. Thats why I need my back brake. The brake hasn't been working for a few months now, but it was never really that necessary up until about now. I don't want to take it to a bike shop. I believe the problem is that the brake line doesn't have enough tension, so I tried to fix that. On the rear brake, I pulled the brake line very tight, but that caused both of the brake pads to press up against the wheels. So I loostened them a little bit, and I lightly pulled the brake lever, and it still had a good bit of tension, and the brake pads were not touching. So I took it for a little stroll, but after one or two times of about 50% braking, the line lost a little bit of tension. It was certainly better than before, but not enough to really help me on the trail. So I tightened a screw that was on the rear brake lever, and it pushed the lever outward, creating more tension. Again it still wasn't enough tension. Is there anything else I can do? The screw on the handle bars is as tight as I can get it, and I pulled the line out at the rear brake as much as possible with out the pads touching the rim. What do I do now?

Official NBA basketball hoop?

You can find them in sport stores, look around. By the way official set up in the NBA is the hoop 10 feet off the ground and a diameter of 18 inches. The backboard is actually 6 feet wide and 3.5 feet high in the NBA but I haven't seen a backboard that big in a store yet. The expensive ones have the new spring loaded rims so you can dunk on them without them breaking after a while.

Should i look for a better location or share a space with someone?

I opened a silk floral and variety store in my small town on April 3oth. The first month I was open I did fairly well.Including stock and what i bought for personal use in the store such as cash register, computer, phones etc i Hvae invested about $5000. I just did my sales and use tax for the first time. I had made $770 from The day i opened until May 20th. After including things i had bought for personal use without paying sales tax on I had to pay $145 in taxes. My rent is $600 a month. I then have phone and internet, electric, and liability insurance to pay each month. This all runs me about $200 more. Since May 2oth I have only made about $400 for that month. My rent is due July 1st and i really can't justify paying it and really can't afford to. I am located on a side street and as i said live in a small town and people just don't come in. Ther is nowhere to park on my side of town. People have to park across the street in a parking lot and walk to my shop. Some people have used tis as an excuse about not coming to the store. There is one other florist in town who has been there forever and another store where a lady does silk flowers in the back mostly funeral and cemetary, i do home floral also and she doesn't but they both have their own parking lots. I have been offered to go in with someone who owns a shop on main street. She has a 1200 square ft building and pays $500 monthly and says she does not need all the space. That would be $350 less than i am paying now but I don't know her and not sure about sharing space with someone. I have $65,000 in savings but I am am married to a man 11 yrs older than me who plans on retiring in about another 1 1/2 yrs and when he does I will have no insurance and he will draw a lot less than he is making now. That is why I wanted to do this business because this is all i really know how to do and thee are no jobs where i live besides fast food or plants that pay miinimum wage and i have some health isues that would cause me not to be able to do these types of jobs. I am really struggling with this decision.

How to find my greatness?

So my mom said to me last night "Find your greatness" and I'm sort of guarded, I hate my body, I um don't eat as much as i use to. I eat only like 150 to 300 calories a day, i'm always dissing myself, And every time i look in the mirror i think ( Ugh, I hate you, Is that me? An ugly girl staring at me? ) I have low self confidence and i'm constantly trying to change, What does she mean by "Find your greatness" ? My sister and my mom are fearless, I'm not, My mom says to chase my dreams but my shyness gets in the way of what i want to do. like (Gymnastics, Ballroom dancing, Singing, ETC.) Thanks!

Cheap places to buy rims?

I bought new tires but now I want rims. My wheels are small 14in. It would make sense to upgrade to at least 16 but I really don't want to waste the money I spent. Wats the best place that sells rims or rim package for a 03 lancer for under $400?

Can i still wear contacts if it has a scratch on it?

I was having some trouble taking out my left contacts out, and when it came out, I saw that there was a scratch on the outside of it, u can't feel it on the other side. It is only near the bottom rim of the contact lens. Is it still wearable without anything happening to my eye like scratching it?
