Has anyone seen this movie - blind woman learns to dance?

it could be a TV-movie. the main character is a blind woman, and she learns to dance with the help of a sighted male dancer (ballroom i think). during the movie, the blind woman gets violently mugged in the street. i think it is was set and made in the 80s/early 90s.
